Tools in this category live inside your browser rather than as a separate app you log into. People start looking for this when a manual process has become the bottleneck. A recruiter is tabbing between ten LinkedIn profiles and a spreadsheet just to build a longlist. A real trade-off to weigh is automation intensity: tools that auto-send connection requests or messages on LinkedIn move faster but carry account-restriction risk if used aggressively, while lighter tools that just surface data leave the sending decision to a human. Worth comparing on data accuracy (especially for email/contact-finding tools), how the extension handles your existing account limits, whether it works offline of the specific site it's built for, and whether pricing is per seat, per credit, or unlimited — since usage patterns vary wildly by role.
