Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RevAgent is a directory of revenue generation businesses and agencies, operated by RampedUp. Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “RevAgent”, they mean that operator.

These terms govern your use of revagent.info, including any account you create. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account and do not use the parts of the service that require one.

2. Your account

You must give accurate registration details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

An account is for a person, not a shared inbox. You may not sell, rent or share access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used to scrape or resell the directory, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

3. What we collect about you

When you register we collect the details you give us: your name, work email address, company and, if you provide it, your phone number.

When you use the service while signed in, we also record what you do with it. That includes the pages and business listings you view, the searches and filters you run, the listings you save, the businesses you compare, the links you follow, and the enquiry forms you submit.

We record technical information that arrives with any web request, including a hashed form of your IP address, your browser type and the page that referred you.

4. How we use what you do — please read this one

The activity described in section 3 is treated as commercial intent data. This is the core of how RevAgent is funded, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.

In practice this means: if you research a category, save several businesses in it, or compare vendors, we treat that as a signal that you may be in the market for that kind of service. We use those signals to decide what to show you, to build audience segments, and to inform sales and marketing activity.

We share those signals, together with the registration details you gave us, with RampedUp, which operates this directory and sells sales-intelligence products. We also use them to build advertising audiences on third-party platforms, including Meta.

This is the same model most trade publishers and B2B directories operate. It is why the service is free to use. If you are not comfortable with it, please do not create an account — the directory itself remains readable without one.

We do not sell the content of enquiry messages you send to a business through the site to anyone other than that business and RampedUp.

5. Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to stop using your activity for marketing and audience building at any time by emailing the address in section 12. We will act on that request, and it does not affect your ability to use your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal data — including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. We honour those requests regardless of where you live.

You can delete your account at any time by asking us. Deleting an account removes your login and your saved listings. Enquiries you have already sent to a business remain with that business.

6. Acceptable use

You may use RevAgent to research and contact businesses. You may not use it to build a competing directory, to harvest contact details in bulk, to send unsolicited bulk email, or to run automated access beyond what a person browsing would generate.

You may not attempt to reach data you have not been given access to, including gated fields, other members’ accounts, or the administrative area.

7. Listings and business information

Listings are compiled from public sources, from information businesses give us, and from our own research. We work to keep them accurate but we do not warrant that any listing is complete, current or correct.

A listing is not an endorsement. Where a listing is promoted, it is labelled as such on the page.

Ratings and review counts shown on a listing come from third-party sources and are attributed as such. A business without reviews is shown as unrated rather than given a number.

If you manage a business listing, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business, and you grant us a licence to publish it on the directory. We review submissions before they appear and may decline or remove any of them.

8. Our content

The directory as a whole — its structure, classification, written descriptions and design — belongs to us. You may read it, link to it, and quote reasonable extracts with attribution. You may not copy it wholesale or use it to train a competing product.

9. No warranty

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant that any business listed will be suitable for you.

Any dealings you have with a business you found here are between you and that business. We are not a party to them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss arising from your dealings with a business listed on the directory.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When a change affects what you agreed to — particularly anything in sections 3, 4 or 5 — we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in, and we will record that acceptance separately.
