Compare providers on which source and target platforms they actually support (Lotus Notes to Exchange is a different problem to Office 365 tenant-to-tenant), how they preserve metadata and permissions rather than just message content, what verification and rollback options exist if something goes wrong mid-migration, and whether they can handle compliance requirements like legal holds or forensic soundness if that matters to your case. Price scales with data volume and complexity, so get a sense of your actual mailbox count and file volume before comparing quotes.
