About Business Data Leadership

Over more than 20 years of leading data and data analytics functions, maria villar and I have had the opportunity to work with a broad range of companies. Some were in a dynamic growth phase; some wanted to be. I’ve worked with companies such as ibm, SAP, cisco systems, vmware, dell technologies and ntt data as well as given advice to smaller companies with data management needs just as critical.
All were seeking to get a better grasp of the data that flows from external sources through their customer accounts, market analyses, CRM systems, websites, social media presence, etc. They all felt the urgency to capture, organize and harness that data.
And, they all came with similar questions. Most wanted to know how to:
1. Extract the most value from the data they have
2. Keep them ahead by exploring new technologies such as AI
3. Ensure the data are clean and kept that way
4. Organize both the resources they have, and the resources they feel they need, TO provide value
5. Develop metrics that make sense and help manage and govern data.
