These are the systems a car dealership runs its front office on: CRM tools that track every phone call, walk-in and web form back to a salesperson and a follow-up sequence, website and inventory platforms that pull VIN-level stock feeds and merchandise them with photos and pricing, posting tools that push listings to Craigslist and marketplaces without someone retyping them by hand, and equity-mining or intent tools like AutoAlert that flag which customers in the database are actually ready to trade. Some are pure software; others are agencies that also run the Google Ads and social campaigns pointed at that inventory.

People end up looking for this when the dealership's own numbers stop making sense — leads are coming in from the website or third-party listing sites but salespeople aren't calling them back fast enough, the CRM is a dumping ground nobody trusts, inventory on the website doesn't match the lot, or a run of bad Google and Facebook reviews is quietly costing walk-ins. Often it's a general manager who's realised the dealership is paying for traffic but has no real visibility into what happens to a lead after it lands, or a marketing manager stuck manually posting the same 200 cars to five sites every week.

The providers here split roughly into three approaches: dealer CRM and desking software that centralises lead handling and reporting, website and inventory/merchandising platforms that focus on how cars are presented and found online, and marketing or reputation agencies that run the ad spend and review response on the dealer's behalf. Worth comparing on: whether the CRM integrates with your existing DMS and third-party lead sources without manual re-entry, how automated versus templated the follow-up actually is, whether inventory updates in near real time or on a batch feed, and — for agencies — whether you get a dedicated point of contact and real ad-spend reporting or a shared account manager and a monthly PDF. Company size varies from small regional specialists to large national platforms, and that usually tracks with how much hands-on account management you'll get versus self-service tooling.
