The role of impulse in snack purchases is massively overestimated.
Most purchases happen as part of planned weekly shops - not last-minute decisions.
This creates a clear opportunity for brands.
While most marketing focuses on influencing behaviour before or after the shop, very little happens at the moment the purchase is actually confirmed.
We’re now exploring how verified purchase data can be used to:
Identify real category buyers
Engage them immediately after purchase
Influence what happens next
This represents a shift from broad, assumption-led marketing to something more precise - engaging real buyers based on actual behaviour.
