These are the businesses hired to make a website show up when someone searches for what that company sells. Many are full-service agencies that bundle SEO with PPC, web design or social, which suits a company that wants one point of contact but can dilute specialist SEO knowledge.
What's worth comparing across all of them is what a technical audit actually finds before you sign anything, how they report progress (real ranking and traffic data versus vague activity reports), what pricing model they use — retainer, project, or a performance element tied to outcomes — and whether they've worked with businesses of your size and sector, since e-commerce, local business and B2B SaaS SEO are genuinely different disciplines. Be wary of anyone promising fast rankings; legitimate SEO work takes months to show results, and speed claims are usually a sign of shortcuts that get penalised later.
