These businesses get hired to run the day-to-day work of getting a company found, chosen and remembered online. That means building and executing campaigns across search, paid social, email and content: writing and placing ads, optimising a website so it ranks for the terms customers actually search, producing the blog posts, videos or social content that keep a brand visible, and setting up the branding and design that makes all of it look coherent. When it's working, a client sees more qualified traffic landing on their site, a higher rank on Google for the phrases that matter to them, and inboxes or ad accounts producing leads that a sales team can actually follow up on rather than random reach with nothing behind it.
Most people who go looking for this have a specific gap: leads have dried up, a new product launch has no audience waiting for it, competitors keep outranking them, or marketing has been running on instinct with no one tracking what any of it produces. Worth comparing agencies on: whether they've actually worked in your industry or sell the same generic playbook to everyone, how transparent they are about what's working and what isn't, and whether their idea of success matches yours — traffic and followers, or leads and closed revenue.
