About RevAgentBot

If you found RevAgentBot in your server logs, this page explains what it is and how to control it.

What it is

RevAgent is a directory of revenue generation businesses. Our crawler visits the websites of companies listed in the directory to keep their profiles accurate — the description, a link to their Google Maps entry, and the leadership team named on their own public about or team page.

It identifies itself on every request as:

RevAgentBot/1.0 (+https://revagent.info/about-our-crawler)

How it behaves

What we publish

On a company profile we may show a description, a link to your Google Maps listing, and the people your site publicly names as leadership — their name, job title, headshot and LinkedIn profile.

We do not publish email addresses or phone numbers of individuals. Headshots are linked directly from your site rather than copied onto ours, so if you remove or change an image it stops appearing here too.

How to stop it

Add this to your robots.txt and the crawler will stop on its next visit:

User-agent: RevAgentBot
Disallow: /

To keep the company profile but exclude your team page, disallow just that path.

Corrections and removal

To correct a profile, remove a person, or remove your business from the directory entirely, email scott.miller@rampedup.io with the profile URL. We action removal requests without argument — no justification needed.

If you are named on a profile and want your details taken down, that request comes from you and we do not require your employer's agreement.
